In a milestone for India’s EV journey, TATA.ev’s Curvv.ev<\/strong> has set a new record<\/strong> for the fastest electric vehicle drive from Kashmir to Kanyakumari<\/strong>, covering 3,823 km in 76 hours and 35 minutes<\/strong>. The drive was 19 hours faster<\/strong> than the previous record and marked a significant step in proving the viability of long-distance EV travel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Pushing the Limits of EV Travel<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The journey, which began at 4:00 AM on February 25 in Srinagar<\/strong>, saw the Curvv.ev tackle diverse terrains and unpredictable weather<\/strong> before reaching Kanyakumari at 8:35 AM on February 28<\/strong>. Along the way, it required just 16 charging stops<\/strong>, reducing total charging time from 28 hours to 17 hours<\/strong>, thanks to India’s rapidly growing fast-charging network<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The achievement was recognized at both ends, with Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah<\/strong> flagging off the drive and MP Thiru Vijay Vasanth<\/strong> welcoming the team in Kanyakumari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

India’s EV Infrastructure is Catching Up<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One of the biggest takeaways from this journey was the role of improved charging infrastructure<\/strong>. Compared to the 2023 Nexon EV drive<\/strong>, where route adjustments were needed to find charging stations, the Curvv.ev<\/strong> covered a shorter distance with minimal detours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
